thumb mahasiswa kuliah umum Recently, the Department of Education promulgated policy on the obligation of higher education students to publish their scientific writings in a scientific publication. The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences later followed up of such a policy by encouraging and facilitating all study programs to establish electronic journals. This media was chosen as it is the most appropriate publication media for so many students. As commonly known, the faculty graduated around 600 students annually, meaning that around 600 journal articles should be published.

Currently, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Mulawarman University has wide-ranging facilities to support its teaching-learning processes. They scatter around the campus, both within the campus and outside the main campus. Some of them are elaborated below.

New System in Fisip Library

thumb perpustakaan meja baca Library of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences has been re-managed since 2005-2006. The library cataloging system has been changed from manual cataloging system to an electronic system in cataloging. Furrthermore, collection management has been re-designed to be an internet friendly and easier to digitalize. This needed a set of of faculty regulations, fine system, the format of submitted undegraduate thesis, etc. Since 2006, the electronic catalog of Fisip Unmul had been accessible on the internet.
Since early 2012, a more comprehensive modification and improvement has taken place, from digital cataloging, barcoded library card, to services delivery.

To enhance faculty services to students, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Mulawarman University provides access to online forms so that they can be downloaded any time. Such forms like Letter of Enrollment, Seminar and Defence submission form, alumni biodata form, letter of lost student ID, Letter of lost paid tuition invoice, etc. are made available by both faculty and study programs. like .
This website attempts to integrate forms needed by students although they are not located in the same place (located on websites of study programs). This faculty website could make a link to downloadable form offered by study programs.
In the meantime, forms offered by certain study programs but they do not have their own website, such forms could be placed in the faculty websites.
